AOLs Project Phoenix E-mail

AOL was once the top notch in the e-mail services, but with search giant Google jumping into the e-mail business, their service lost the spotlight, they once enjoyed. Email services like Gmail and Hotmail have been utterly dominant in the industry with their option filled and enhanced mailing services. Google’s Gmail according to a survey report is slowly and gradually encompassing the other services and they have increased their market share pretty amazingly, with the abilities like sharing documents and making spreadsheets.

In a recent turn of events, AOL has announced that they are re-designing their email services from the very basic level to make it faster and easier to use than before. AOL announced recently that they are planning to unlock the door to its web based e-mailing service that is called Project Phoenix for a very limited set of users. The service will formally start from the next year and from that time on-wards any user will be able to sign-up for a complete access to a beta-version site.
